Back to School Madness & Sacred Intentions

Hello Beautiful,

Happy Friday! BREATHE…the weekend is almost here!

Has back-to-school mode taken over your week too? My kiddos went back to school on Wednesday! My baby girl started her freshman year, and my son is a junior. It really does go by in the blink of an eye, truly.

I remember rolling my eyes at the moms of teenagers who told me this when I was in the trenches of infancy and toddlerdom—time moved so slowly then—sick kids, constant needs, sleepless nights. It was rough. If you’re curious to hear more about my journey, check out episode 1 of the HEAR HER podcast.

Now, here I am, on the other side—two teenagers, both in high school. My son is starting to look at colleges. My husband turned 50 this spring. And I’m here waving to you from the other side saying…

IT GOES BY IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE!!

Somewhere after 4th grade, it feels like someone hits the fast-forward button, and time zips by.

To all the moms of younger kiddos—HANG IN THERE!! It does get easier, I promise. They need you less and less. Believe it or not, one day, they might not even want to hang out with you as much. So, breathe. Roll your eyes if that helps, but remember—YOU are an amazing, beautiful warrior goddess, and YOU GOT THIS!

Back-to-School Madness

With all the rushing to get your kids ready, maybe you're still holding anxiety from last year. Maybe you’re trying to balance everything and your temper is short. Maybe you're wondering how you’ll get everyone where they need to be on time or worrying about the struggles your kiddo might face this year. Maybe you’re feeling pressure to “keep up” with the moms who make it all look so easy.

Wherever you are, I invite you to pause, slow down, and breathe…

When I began my spiritual journey, one of the most nourishing practices I embraced was slowing down and making things more sacred.

In a world that’s always loud, rushing, and doing, slowing down and tuning in can help you feel more present. In the HEAR HER sisterhood this week, we created space to ground, breathe, and set intentions for how we want to show up for our kids this school year. If you’re longing for more space like this, I invite you to join us in the sisterhood. Click here to learn more and join.

For my local mommas, if you’re feeling frazzled and need some extra support to calm your nervous system, ground and center yourself for the school year ahead, I’m offering Reiki and healing sessions. Click one of the links to learn more and book your session today!

So, beautiful momma…

How Do You Want to Be?

How do you want to hold space for your kids this year? Even if your children are grown or not yet in school, there’s never a bad time to reflect on how you want to parent. It helps you slow down and tune in to what’s really important, beyond all the distractions. It helps you to BE PRESENT.

This is your loving invitation to step outside, feel your feet on the ground, and breathe.

Then ask yourself, your highest self, your soul, your inner guide-ess…

How Do I Want to Hold Space for My Kids This New School Year?

Breathe and allow whatever is rising. Sit with this question as long as you like—journal it out, take it into your dreams, or bring it into meditation or journey. Be open to whatever comes up, leaving shame and judgment behind, so that you can embrace awareness.

Here’s what came up for me:

I want to lovingly and quietly hold space for my children this school year. I want to listen more and try to fix less. I want to validate their feelings even when I don’t fully understand. I want to create a safe space for them to be where they are, helping them move forward when they’re ready. I want to lead with love and understanding even when things don’t make sense.

If back-to-school stress has you feeling overwhelmed, it’s the perfect time to remember the power of self-love. My simple yet potent digital offering, NURTURE, was created to support you in finding that love even in the busiest seasons. Click here to learn more!

I’d be honored to witness what’s coming up for you!
