Attuning to the Moon: A Journey of Discovery, Sacred Land, and Deep Connection🌙
A couple of years before we moved to the Blue Ridge Mountains, I began bringing deeper awareness to the moon and her cycles. Something about her phases pulled at my soul—a quiet invitation to tune into her rhythm and see how it mirrored the cycles within me. Back then, I had no idea how profound this connection would become or where it would lead.
When it was time to search for a new home, we looked at more than 30 houses. Each one felt like it was missing something—until we found this place. We were guided to the sacred land of the Monacan tribes, a space that felt alive with history, spirit, and magic. From the moment I stepped onto the property, I could feel a deep pull in my body—a sacred call I now know was so much more than a desire to be closer to family. My Reiki master shared early in my studies that I was called to this land. Yes, I loved the idea of being near my cousins, whom we’d visit every Labor Day weekend, but this pull was deeper. It was a sacred call to connect with this land’s wisdom and magic. At the same time, my mind and ego chimed in with every reason this move was impractical: We’re not garden people! We’re brown thumbs, for crying out loud!
Early in our marriage, back when we lived in Maryland, we planted a tree to honor our anniversary. It died within the year, and we swore we’d never plant anything in honor of our marriage again. Yet, as I walked through what I now call Luna Garden, the butterflies followed me down the path, and Grandfather Sun shined through the trees. The energy was undeniable. I felt the call to this land—to its wisdom, its beauty, and its invitation to share its magic with my family, loved ones, and the women in my community.

Manifesting Luna Garden: A Sacred Space
During this time, I was immersed in studying with Sarah Jenks, who introduced me to the moon and the practice of cyclic living. In her community, I soaked up everything about the sacred feminine and sacred union. She lit a fire within me, reminding me of my power and helping me believe I could create the life I dreamed of. Her teachings gave me the courage to leave a place we loathed and land somewhere safe, sacred, and private.
Sarah’s guidance helped me manifest not just a house but a home—a sanctuary. Luna Garden, as I named it, is the heart of this sacred space. Grandmother Moon hangs in the belly of the garden, offering a front-row seat to her wisdom and healing energy. Every time I step into Luna Garden, I’m reminded to connect and reconnect—with myself, with the land, and with the cycles of nature.
Leaning Into the Moon’s Wisdom
Since moving here, my relationship with the moon has deepened even further. Her energy moves the tides, aligns with the four directions, and mirrors so much within us: our menstrual cycles, the seasons, and the natural flow of energy we embody as women. I’ve been learning, exploring, and soaking up wisdom from incredible mentors for years, and I’ve also been playing with my own intuitive connection to the moon. I feel so honored to share what I’ve learned with you.
What I’ve discovered is that when we attune to the moon’s phases, we’re not just syncing with her rhythm—we’re reconnecting with the rhythm of our own bodies and spirits. Each phase offers something unique: a time to dream, to create, to release, and to rest. The moon’s wisdom is a profound teacher, always reminding me to slow down and honor the cycles within me. I often refer to her as Grandmother Moon, a name rooted in my shamanic studies that deepens my connection to her energy and wisdom.
An Invitation to Journey Together
Luna Garden has become more than a space; it’s a sacred reminder of what’s possible when we tune into the whispers of our intuition. It’s where I feel called to hold space for others, to share the magic of the moon, and to weave the energy of her cycles into our daily existence.
What could happen if you gave yourself a year to lean into the moon’s wisdom so that you could rediscover your natural rhythms and embrace a deeper sense of balance and peace? To feel supported, seen, and deeply connected to your natural rhythms so that you can move through life’s transitions with grace, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and create a life that feels aligned and meaningful? With open arms and a full heart, I invite you to join me in the HEAR HER Sisterhood, where we weave moon wisdom, intuition, and connection into a sacred, safer space for women ready to drop the mask and reconnect with their true selves.
